About the Charity

Cancer Research is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. The Charity has saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
Cancer survival is improving and has doubled over the past 40 years in the UK – now half of people diagnosed with cancer survive their disease for ten years or more, thanks to research.

Cancer Research fund research into more than 200 types of cancer, including the one that’s most important to us. From the most common – such as breast, bowel, lung and prostate cancers – to rare types of tumour and children’s cancers, they support groundbreaking science that benefits everyone.
Cancer Research receive no government funding and their life-saving work relies on the money donated to them.

The Agility community, as in all other walks of life, has been affected by this terrible disease and UK Agility has supported the charity in a number of ways over the recent years and hope that this league will help them in their ground breaking work.
