UKA Press Release 15th June 2021

Sadly with the UK Government announcement yesterday, the following shows will be cancelled.

GT June 25th – 27th June
Just Sox 3rd – 4th July
RUFFS 10th – 11th July
Agility Antics 16th – 18th July
GT July 16th – 18th July

Unfortunately, we are unable to take late entries under lockdown rules. We know late entries are extremely popular for competitors but the downside is that most shows are very reliant on the income from late entries to break even. Show managers take the financial gamble but I’m sure all competitors can understand that shows cannot run knowing they will lose a considerable amount of money. For the GT June show you will receive a full refund for your entry into your UKA account. We are able to do this as it does not incur any additional cost or work for us. If you require a refund from your account after this the normal refund policy will apply. All other cancelled shows have not yet closed so the entries will just be removed from your accounts over the next few days.

We are very pleased that K9 Brats and Scants Agility are still scheduled to run in June and July and we look forward to seeing you all in 5 weeks time.

Such a shame but we need these shows to continue long after Covid so please do whatever is right for the clubs and UKA to survive ... people are passionate about it and sometimes forget the damage of a "what if ... : and a "yeah but .....". Do whatever you need to do and know we'll all be ready and appreciative whenever we can come out to play again. Stay sane in the meantime x

Lisa 😭

Could you not disallow late entries for the time being, and then shows would know what entries they are getting. So many other shows are running - Inspire, FAB, etc., and as you say, K9 Brats and Scants.... I don't understand....

Expected, but such a shame, so sorry for all you show organisers trying to second guess this situation. Let’s hope we’ll all be back soon...

Very sad to read this and also a tad peeved, having just sorted out the payment. Wish I'd not bothered

So sorry for you all, just when we thought normality would resume. You have all worked so hard. Keeping everything crossed that this will be it, and you will have a fab attendance at the Nationals 🤞🤞

So sad but totally understand x

A real shame, I admire the determination of you guys to give us our shows thank you for trying so hard

So sad. Thank you for all the efforts you have all made to get shows up and running. It is really appreciated. 12,000 at Royal ascot!

Nooooo what about my games win I needed lol! Gutted about this and for you guys and all that hard work 😔

Thanks for trying. Looking forward to July

Will the qualifiers move to different dates?

What a shame

Is Nationals still on currently?

Im just gonna leave this here!! Those who know, know!

UKA Late entries have changed.

From now on you can select exactly what you want to run online for your late entries.

Shortly after pre entries close (4 days), late entries open.
From the web page, go to "enter a show", in the last column it will tell you when the late entries open or click "Enter show late entry" or if you want to add to your existing pre entry click "Add late entry".

The entry process is almost identical to making a "pre entry". The only difference is you PAY AT THE SHOW and camping and postage are not available this way. (Most shows will allow late camping to just turn up, See the front page of the schedule)

You can edit/add/cancel your late entry online up until 7.15AM the day of the show. When you arrive at the show, visit the secretaries tent and pay, your runs will then be added directly to the scoring system.

Checking in at the ring has gone! 😁 🥂🍾

At the show you can still enter or add/edit your online entry before you pay. You will need to have decided what you wish to enter before visiting the secretaries tent.

We highly recommend you book online as there will be a queue for "payments only" and a queue to "make or edit entries."

Please comment below any questions rather than private messages, so everyone can see the answers and to help us during an exceptionally busy time. Thank you

GT June is the first show offering this facility.

What if it is really hot on the day and our dogs can’t run? Is it best we just do a late entry so we can cancel?

So we can no longer walk the course and then decide if we want to run it or not with pre purchased ‘credits’ like we used to as no booking in?

if a show is capped...assume no late entries still with this change...ie K9 Brats July 🐾🐾🐾❤

Will a ring plan of when classes are scheduled in each ring be available before the day of the show?

Are shows going to be able to take card payments or will it have to be cash?
